I spilled red wine on my new couch the first day I had it. Thank jeebus for Scotchguarding. Oh, and today, my darling dearest spouse got freshly chewed gum on it, which forced me to resort to freezing it with ice and scraping it off frantically with a butter knife (thanks to the internets for the suggestion!). At least you can throw the duvet in the wash. You can't put a couch in the wash.

 

Girl- your comment made me laugh out loud. Unfortunately, my list is a retrospective review of splotches.

IW- i know, you're right. I need some perspective. But every time i spill i just look at myself and think THIS IS WHY WE CANT HAVE NICE THINGS.

 

Your self respect will come right out with a bit of club soda.

Here's a thought...use a CHAIR instead of doing those things on your bed.
